Hotel Del Luna Made a Hollywood Version by the Company Behind Mission Impossible



Hollywood has shown interest in Hotel Del Luna. The famous Korean drama, starring IU, will now be remade as an American TV series.

Reporting from Soompi, Wednesday (24/6/2020), the studio that made Hotel Del Luna, Studio Dragon, collaborated with Skydance Media. It is a big name in the Hollywood entertainment industry who has been involved in the production of films such as Terminator and Mission Impossible, as well as the TV series Altered Carbon.

The contract that is entered into between Studio Dragon and Skydance is different from the agreement on intellectual property rights in general. Studio Dragon will remain involved in the production process from start to finish, and have an equal footing with Skydance.

Alison Schapker was given the task of writing the new version of the Hotel Del Luna script. He has previously served as executive producer for Altered Carbon, as well as Fringe, Scandal, and Alias.

President of Skydance Television, Bill Bost, revealed the reasons for the specialness of Hotel Del Luna.
